I am SO EXCITED to be sharing photographs from Riannan and Dave’s romantic wedding at minstrel court. I first met Riannan and Dave about a year ago. They told me how they were nervous and “awkward” in front of the camera so as well as booking their wedding photography with me, they booked an engagement shoot too. Suffice to say that they nailed it! Their nerves barely showed, if at all. It’s really rewarding for me as a photographer to be able to work with a couple who don’t like the camera and still create amazing photographs to remind them of this important moment in their lives together. We created some amazing photographs and got to know each other really well. Ultimately, this makes such a difference to the photographs the couple receive after their special day. Knowing me a bit better and realising I’m not a total weirdo who hides behind a camera all day really does help couples feel more comfortable! After having got to know them so well, I was really excited for their wedding! What a wedding it was! Riannan and Dave’s romantic wedding at minstrel court had the most beautiful early summer flowers, they’d decorated their marquee in a really rustic theme and had pulled out some amazing touches such as the guests place setting names carved out of wood.
Riannan and Dave’s romantic wedding at Minstrel Court had this very funny and very wise sign reading ‘mutual weirdness forever’ and I think that sums up marriage almost perfectly. It reminded me of this quote from a book that I once read:
We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness–and call it love–true love. Robert Fulgham
We captured some really romantic couples portraits. These two are so cute together! I’m so excited to share the couples photographs with them today, here are a few of my favourites.
