WELL, HELLO THERE!
ART DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
I’m Troy – a rather friendly, often hilarious, slightly tubby father of two pugs moonlighting as a storyteller; capturing life’s irreplaceable moments, escapades and everyday adventures. I’m always looking for those fleeting, authentic moments that captivate people -those daring photographs that immerse you in your memories time and again!
Whether I’m being your crowd-pleasing, smile-inducing wedding day documenter or tagging along; capturing your family adventure; I pour everything into each photograph I give you and leave you with a collection of photographs that when viewed together, tell a compelling story.
I exclusively photograph ten weddings a year, alongside a handful of engagement sessions and family adventures; the rest of the time you’ll find me cuddled up with a pug (or two), a cup of tea and something I’m binge-watching on Netflix; day-dreaming about when my toes will next touch the sand. I love to travel!
My goal is to be present without being distracting. I live for the moments you forget I'm there and dance like nobody is watching, kiss, like there's nobody else in the room and laugh so loud that you snort -and then laugh harder!
I'm not a director -my A-Level Drama result proves that! Therefore I love to capture things as they unfold naturally, telling your story with a collection of authentic moments.
Although Cambridgeshire is home, I'm an avid traveller and venture worldwide for weddings, whether it's a French chateau or a Caribbean beach, count me in! Get in touch to talk about your exact requirements.
More about little old me!
WELL, NOT SO LITTLE...
Aside from photography, my other great passion in life is my family. There’s three of us; Adam, my husband, and Harley, our pug. There’s nothing I enjoy more of an evening than cuddling up to the two of them on the sofa, eating Chinese and binging on something new and exciting on Netflix. I spend my weekends photographing weddings and taking long walks with the dog, he’s surely mistaking me saying exercise for extra fries!
Despite appearances, I’m a big softy, all this extra ‘padding’ is just mush, hence why I’m such a sucker for a good wedding! People watching is definitely my thing. I love just sitting somewhere and watching the world go by, seeing how people interact with each other and enrich each other’s lives. Although a weird trait in 99.9% of situations, it makes me great at capturing other people’s love stories as I notice the small things and can capture emotion in its rawest and purest form.
Speaking of families, the love of a family is life’s greatest blessing, at least, that’s what I believe. As a photographer, capturing that unique love and joy that you get from spending time with your family is something I simply love to do. Whether it’s a stroll through the forest, a walk along the beach or exploring somewhere new, I’d love to capture some photographs for you and tell the story of the love you share as a family through imagery.
I hope you enjoy my site and find all the information you’re looking for to help you choose your wedding photographer. I’ve highlighted a couple of great posts from my blog below on what to do before searching for your wedding photographer (although, as you’ve already started, it might be late advice). You'll also find my top tips for how to choose your wedding photographer once you’ve got a few people in mind and different wedding photography styles so you can make an informed choice about what’s for you.
About my Style
One of the things I’m asked all the time by potential clients is ‘what’s your style?’. My style is calm, unobtrusive and aligns almost perfectly to the photojournalist branch of photography. I think the most important part of what I do is that I observe your day, I capture what happens naturally, I don’t direct it. It doesn’t mean I’m not hands-on when needed; your couples portraits and formal (family) photographs are a prime example of this which I try to keep light-hearted and fun. I don't like to brag but I usually get a giggle out of the crowd that is your nearest and dearest.
